Yesterday was Graduation Night and I had fun! It is definitely amusing, seeing all my tomboyish friends dolled up for the event and it was as if everyone had turned into ladies overnight! So here's a rather brief chronological account of the event..
I arrived early, at 6pm, to prepare the cards for our teachers. Lynnette came to meet me first and brought me up to Stefanie's (i suppose) room. Her room was really in a terrible state, with things thrown everywhere, towels on the floor. After we were done signing and writing sweet messages, we carried the bouquets of flowers for our teachers down to the ballroom. I was in charge of Mrs Tang's and i saw her at the at the reception. After giving her the flowers, a hug, she took my attendance and since we were early birds, we were given this:
A facial voucher. Doubt i will ever go, since i am not into all these. Maybe i will pass it to my mother. Then, Lynnette and I went to give our invitation cards to Mrs Tang so that she could take the lucky draw number:
The night started and speeches were given by our principal Mrs Lee, as well as a few other people and later, IJ rings were given out. To our surprise, the rings were decent and very presentable. They were very nicely and individually packed:
Food was served and since we were all very hungry, we finished every dish very fast, paying little attention to what was going on, until it was time for lucky draw. They gave out many prizes and soon they said, "0271!" I did not even realise it was my number until Lynnette said excitedly, "Eh! You!" As i walked, my classmates from my table cheered which made me feel i was in the spotlight for a while (embarassing!) I walked over and got my prize:
A $20 OP voucher! Not bad at all, since i was a frequent OP customer.
I thought mine was worth it but all those that came later were even better! There were Swarovski Crystals, Swatch Watches, necklaces, and even coffee makers!.....about 50 over prizes.
I must say the teachers were very sporting and daring, especially Mr Armstrong, who danced on stage! We ate and ate, things went on, "Miss IJ" was crowned and suddenly, all lights were off! Time for Disco. Since my friends and i were not the dancing kind, we left, and that was it. Woderful and enjoyable. Thank you teachers for the memorable event!
It was because i had to pick my father from the airport that we only arrived home at about 1am. i woke up to my sister's calling at 12pm. My mum brought lunch home for me:
Beef and Mushroom Pie. Simply Delicious : D

I think this show is extremely funny. I watched the first episode on Youtube and i am addicted to it! It is such a hilarious show. It is about Ella (the girl in the middle) who admires the guy on the left because he is a high jump athelete. In order to get closer to him, she cuts her long hair so that she will look like a boy, to join the boy's school since his school is only for males. The boy on the right plays a dramatic role as Ella's friend. After she manages to get into the school, she finds out that the boy whom she admires has already given up the sport. The story develops and soon, some of them find out that Ella is actually a girl. Interesting...however, i do not intend to buy the VCD, knowing that it is something that i will only watch once. Anyone willing to lend me? : D
So, Luo Zhi Xiang's (Show) album is out. This album is called SPESHOW and pronounced as "special." It was thinking..when someone's english pronounciation is not too good, they tend to pronounce special as spe-show. Does it ring a bell? I like the costume for this album. The suit certainly brings out the cool side of him.
Anyway, i haven't really listened to it but i have seen the MV on Channel 51 and it is great! The dance moves and coordination is just so amazing! With the chair dance and everything. His dance for the last album "Zhen Ming Tian Zi" is nice. Especially the version which he danced during the "MTV Wan Ren Yan Chang Hui." But i think this is one much nicer. Really shows his dancing skills, with all the complicating steps and that awesome action where all of them seem to be hanging in the air, with only one hand support on the chair, all at 180 degrees. If you haven't watched it, click here .
While his dancing skills are above average, i like his hosting skills just as much. He definitely has a good sense of humour and the great ability to crack a joke fast. He is currently hosting a show, "Yu Le Bai Fen Bai," and i never fail to catch it every weekday, 5pm-6pm, on Channel U. Click here for the schdule.

it is definitely such a joy to receive so many SMSs this morning. Well, there is this particular message which is going to make me smile for the rest of the day. It reads:"Gd news! OB will give us 50 tix 4 JJ's Mediacorp recording on 7 Dec. I need 2 find out wat time. I want 2 give priority 2 com members , so let me know if u r interested."That alone was already nice enough..the next one was nicer!"Will allocate u 2 tix. I'll arrange to collect tix asap"YES! i am going! and my sister too:) thank you ivy!So, finally, this is the time where hardworking people get rewarded. thinking back, i have been with JJFC forum for about a year and it has been great. sharing news and just being happy together. it is such a happy and wonderful family over there. there are disputes but always settled fast. thats the beauty of the members-always happy, forgiving and understanding. it was such great pleasure to make a thread which read "JJFC forum has reached the 2000 member mark!" We have certainly come a long way, from maybe, OB's burden to hopefully, OB's friend. A few days ago, i received an email from ivy regarding the mediacorp recording and i like this part most, "As we're in the midst of confirming programme details and will be keeping you as well as JJFC in the loop with any updates to come." Daphne (a new worker in OB) is a nice person. i like her:) If you like to join in our happy family, click here. i guess our next target will be 3000 members!

my blog has finally come alive again!
it has certainly been ages since i have last posted. tons of things happened. many came, many went and this includes the o levels. so, O LEVELS are OVER. somehow, i still cannot get over that fact. I used to get nightmares after the last day of my paper, about how i would be terribly late for for an exam. i would then wake up suddenly in shock, only to realise that it was all a nightmare. phew!
so, there are sooo many things i need to do. i am afraid i would miss something out. worst of all, i do not have a lot of time. i am currently looking for a guitar teacher who can teach me on a regular basis and i am FINALLY going to continue piano lessons. I will also be learning drawing. I am very much into sketching so i guess water colour would be a good change.
and yes, before i forget. thanks lynnette for bringing me out that day! after 16 years of living, i think that was probably the first time i really went out with a friend. in that outing, i bought tons of things, including my long awaited present-Bian Hao 89757 Zheng Cang Ban! (Thank you Yu Pei!) That may have been released ages ago but it was rather expensive then. Prices have dropped by a reasonable amount, which makes me even more satisfied!
In that trip with Lynnette, i also bought a book from MPH-Keeping Faith by Jodie Picoult. I am currently reading-Perfect Match by Jodie Picoult. I think she is a good writer, experienced, with 13 published books. For those who are finding good books to read, I highle recommend -My Sister's Keeper by her. It is one with a great plot and she has an interesting way of bringing the story together. A bit like Joy Luck Club-as in the way she presents the story. amazon.com has given the book 4/5 starts. Time to sleep now. Should be baking brownies with my sister, and bringing my soon overweight dogs for a walk. its time i shower them some love:) nite!
